‘Proof-of-work’ describes a blockchain were computational processing power or ‘work’ is ‘paid’ for tokens by solving a complicated math problem to get a code that can be verified by others. A checksum is a very simple version of this kind of math problem. This image shows my work for a checksum of the phrase “Ceci est du travail”, a reference to Magritte’s The Treachery of Images. A joke!
Proof_of_Work is a guaranteed non-fungible artwork that is derived from the original acrylic on canvasboard painting, Proof of Work (2021) by Alison Orellana Malouf. It includes:
1. The right to use the Proof_of_Work_AOM.jpeg file under the Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
2. A Token that consists of a Name and a Shibboleth of your choice painted on the back of the physical painting, Proof of Work.
